Is There Any Harm If Prescribed Prednisone Is Not Taken After Root Canal?

I just had a root canal, my first. The Dr. prescribed medrol for inflammation. Unfortunately, the pharmacist only had prednisone to substitute. I took prednisone once before and did not have a good experience. Will there be any harm if I do not take the prescribed prednisone?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
Nothing to worry. There is no need to take medorol following root canal treatment. Just take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and metronidazole combination and an analgesic like diclofenac (if you are not allergic). No need of steroids. Do saline gargling.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
