Is There Any Antibacterial Wash To Cure Red Spots Under Pectoral On Torso With Yellow Tips?

I currently use cetaphil antibacterial soap daily when I shower, but am getting small red spots under my pectorals down my torso, sometimes with a bit of yellow at the tips. They are sporadic. Wonder if there is a better antibacterial wash to use to address this issue.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of Truncal Acne, in you. Antibacterial wash is not enough for acne since it cannot reach the depth of hair follicle.

If i was your treating doctor I would have suggested that you use a topical antibacterial gel e.g benzoyl peroxide 2.5 % twice daily. It is antibacterial as well as sebostatic and thereby decreases oil production on which the bacteria and yeast thrive.

An oral antibacterial e.g Doxycycline may also be required depending upon the severity and extent.

take care
regards
