Is There Alternative For Pentaxim Vaccine ?
hello Doc, My baby girl is given pentaxim vaccine on 8th week &12th week. due date of 3rd doge was 21 march2014 but the pentaxim vaccine is not available in market or any hospital in udaipur. supplier says for shortage. We are already late, Can we wait for more time or should shift another option of vaccine. Is it possible or not. please advise. Prof. Neeraj Sharma, udaipur 0000

Infanrix can be used in place of Pentaxim, however IPV would need to be given separately.
If it is also not available there is no harm to the baby if Pentavac/easyfive is given after giving Pentaxim.
Only thing is that you have to give separeate injection polio instead of hep.-B if you give pentavac/easyfive.
