Hello,

Your sister is suffering from Elephantiasis of her right leg.
This is caused by Filariasis. It is a parasitic infection transmitted by mosquitos.
In the initial stages a 21 day course of Diethylcarbamazine with help cure the disease by killing all microfilariae.
Elephantiasis is well established disease.
This is lymphadenitis caused by inflammation.
The lymphatic channels are blocked and the is lymph accumulation which cause the edema.
Surgery has a limited benefit.
But stem cell treatment is new and we do the outcome of the treatment because our experience will it is very limited.
