Is There A Possibility Of Pregnancy Due To Delay In Nuriserate Injection?

Hi doctor,I hope this message finds you good and well.I wanted to ask,I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on the 7th and I had to get my nuriserate injection shot on the 8th.I was though late for the injection because i went on the 10th.Is there a possibility of pregnancy?

i can understand your concern.
nur-isterate is a depot shot of progestogen used as a hormonal contraceptive.
i would assume this was not your first shot of nur-isterate as the first dose is usually given during the first five days of the cycle. but if this was your first dose this wouldn't give protection.
if this was the dose given at the interval of 8 weeks or the 12 weeks depending on the number of the dose after the previous dose you need not worry about pregnancy. a delay in two days wouldnt reduce the efficacy. if its beyond a week then definitely it would be inadequate for protection.
kindly take the next dose as per the schedule.
