Is The Raised Vein Behind The Ear Drum A Matter Of Concern?
My father (84) recently went for an ear examination and was told that he may have a raised vein behind his eardrum. He has been referred for a scan but, having once defeated bowel cancer (clear for 15 years), he is understandably anxious. Is this anything he needs to worry about?
He may be suffering from hemangioma of middle ear or glomus tumors. They may cause middle ear pressure, tinnitus and hearing loss. Need to be treated surgically or embolization or laser therapy. Please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
