Hi,
I understand your concern.
Urine infection must be adequately taken care of in pregnancy-to avoid further grave complications. The aim of treatment is to control infection & avoid serious complications in future. Your doctor has treated you from that view only.
The antibiotics you have mentioned are not reported to have any adverse effects on fetus. So please don't worry.
Because of the recurring infections- culture & sensitivity test is advised- so as to know exact antibiotic to be given to iradicate your infection.
A drug to which bacterias are sensitive needs to be taken for a sufficiently long course for the iradication. Doctor will choose one of safe antibiotic from the report. Please follow the instructions given strictly.
Thanks.
