Is The Color Doppler Report During Pregnancy A Cause For Concern?
MY AGE IS 24 YRS AND I HAVE 8 MONTS PREGNANCY THIS IS OUR 1ST BABY. I AM FEELING VERY LESS MOVEMENTS OF BABY FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS AS COMPARE TO PREVIOUS DAYS. YESTERDAY COLOR DOPPLER REPORT SAYS RM 2/2, FT 2/2 BSCASM 2/2, AF 2/2 BDS 8/8.TODAY S BLOOD SUGAR IS 90. I HAVE THE LITTLE PROBLE OF COSTIPATION. IS ANY THING SERIOUS KINDLY GUIDE ME PROPERLY.
Not feeling the baby move can happen for a number of reasons... the baby could be sleeping, or you may be busy and not notice it as much, but unfortunately it can also signal that the baby is not doing well inside.
The test you had yesterday is called a biophysical profile; it is an ultrasound that checks the movements of the baby. The test said everything completely looked normal at the time. These results generally mean the baby is safe for a few more days without re-evaluation.
So if the decreased movement does not feel any different than the time you had the test, I think it is OK to wait and follow up at your next scheduled appointment. But if you ever do not feel the baby move at all for more than an hour, even if you eat or drink something cold, you should go to the hospital for evaluation.
I wish you the best for the remainder of your pregnancy,
Sincerely, Dr. Brown
