Is Taking Norethisterone During Pregnancy Harmful To The Baby?
After not having period in 30 days, I took norithesterone 5mg for 2 consecutive days and then 1 more 5mg tablet after 1 week. I did NOT get my period even after doing so and at this time I consulted a doctor. The doctor told me that I am pregnant. This means I had total 15mg of norithesterone approximately 4-5 weeks into my pregnancy . Whats the risk to fetus?

If NORETHISTERONE is consumed in high doses and very late in pregnancy then it can cause virilisation of foetus.
But since the dose consumed is very less,just 15 mg,it is not going to cause any problem to the foetus however you should inform your treating doctor about it.
