Is Taking Amoxicillin Before Piercing With History Of Having Open Heart Surgery Safe?
I had open heart surgery 2 and a half years ago. I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and had it replaced with a pig valve. I got a piercing before the surgery and had to let it close up. Now I am wanting to get it redone. I am planning on taking amoxicillin before getting it pierced again. Can you tell me the risks of this? I have had a piercing since my surgery without amoxicillin and had no issues. Thanks

It is good planning to go for piercieng under antibiotic cover like Amoxicilin to prevent any possible infection.
But for any this type of procedure consult your cardiologist before procedure for safety and not produce any problem in your heart condition.
