Is Taking Betnesol Injection Necessary Before C-section At 36 Weeks?
I am in my 36 week pregnancy and my doctor advised me for urgent c section by tomorow. But she has not advised me of taking betnesol injection as this is a preterm delivery. So i confused. I heard in case of premature delivery this injection used to be given for lung maturity of baby.

Ideally Betnesol to be given for fetal lung maturity before 37 weeks of gestation.
However there are conditions like chorioamnionitis, pulmonary edema in which betnesol is avoided.
