Is Switching Back To Milk Based Formula Safe After Using Soya Based Formula?

Hi there Dr. Rynee, I am looking for some help with my son. He is just about 8 weeks old. We initially though our son had a lactose intolerance so we switched him to a soy based formula. We came to find out that he was just gassy. We want to switch him back to a milk based formula. We want to make sure that it is safe to switch back to a milk based, and also what is the safest way to mix the formulas to switch back?

Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the best way is to start with lowest dose of milk formula twice a day and gradually increase the quantity once you have assessed that there is no GI disturbances through the same.

Hope I have answered your query.
