Is Swelling With Light Bruise On Foot, Tingly And Numb Toes With Little Pain Due To Wheelchair Going Over The Foot Serious?

An electric wheelchair just about went over my left foot but went half way through and I am not sure if I should go and see a doc as it seems minor. I see swellings, only a little its pale and has a little bruise. I can move my toes except the little one one the end and it all feels tingly and numb at times. I can move my foot around just it is sort of like chilie and hurts at ttimes

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Tingling and numbness is due to transient compression of superficial nerve fibres due to swelling itself. Elevate the limb limb to reduce the swelling.Avoid weight bearing and rest well.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
