Is Surgery Required For Hearing Loss?

Hi I have been diagnosed with hearing loss due to one of the bones in my ear (malleus) being hardened. They want to do surgery and replace this bone with a titanium one. How sucessful is this operation as I don t want to be left deaf, even tho i have quite a bit of hearing loss in my ear now.

Hello,

As malleus bone get hardened, so it will cause defect in bone conduction which causes hearing loss.

So it's better to do surgery and replaced it by titanium one. It has better results and early recovery. So consult with expert ENT surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
