Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am a 62 yr. old female that is in reasonable good shape. Due to a slip on the ice 5 yrs ago I have been treated for bulging discs. I recently had another mri, and the Dr recommends surgery now due to spinal stenosis L4 and L5. Walking has become harder to do but I still push on. The Dr said that walking is not the best thing to do for spinal stenosis. What else can I do to keep the muscle tone.
Sometimes investigation may show some problem but patient will be normal.Sometimes investigations r normal and patient complains if illness. So urs is a case, like if u have severe disability for normal daily activities and troubling much its better to go for surgery. It will restore ur normal daily activities.Or else the stenosis part in ur spine will progress and it will become difficult for routine daily activities. Before operation take second opinion from any neurologist.
