Is Squint Eyes In Children Curable?

My daughter's age is 12 months old. Recently We are observing that her vision alignment is not normal at times. Especially when she gets up from sleep she strays still without blinking her eyes an she appears to be squint. But again she becomes normal. While she plays or interacts with us her eyesight alignment is normal. This problem is noticed few weeks back. We are really confused and do not know what to do in this situation. Her photographs do not suggest that she has a squint eyes. Especially the left eye effects a lot.She is rubbing her left eyes at times and when she feeds at times water comes out from her eyes. My query is that, is she has a squint eyes? Is this curable? Can a baby eyes becomes squint after 1 year of her birth? Please suggest what to do.Which doctor to consult. We reside at kolkata.

In this age up to 9years it is curable. when she is 5yearsold , do refraction. It may request some orthoptic exercises or correction to both eye. Occlusion can be given to good eye forcing weak eye to project and fix. in this way it is given stimulation and it will improve in vision Attend orthoptic center ineyeopd.
