Is Spitting Blood After Swallowing Piece Of Pork Serious?

I swallowed a piece of pork that felt like it scraped my lower esophegus on the way down...30 minutes later I had a copper taste in my mouth and then ran to the kitchen sink and spit some dark red blood. After a few times spitting, there was no more blood. No more experiences today even after eating normally.

Hello,

This is inflammation of esophagus from pork piece, as today there are no symptoms after eating normally, the matter is not serious and internal healing is taking place.

Have to avoid such stuffs further for next week, along with intake of syrup Mylanta to recover faster.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
