Is Spinal Anaesthesia Advisable For Tubectomy?

I am thinking about getting my fallopian tubes tied. I understand in involves spinal anesthesia. How can I prepare before hand for tolerable pain? I am afraid as my mother suffered a lot of pain after her injection and I am afraid I can move during the procedure and become paralyzed

Hi. Relax. Spinal anesthesia is very safe and you wouldn't notice anything but a minor prick in your lower back which is no different from a intramuscular injection in experienced hands. Explain this to your anesthetist and he or she will allay your fear about it. Please go on with the procedure under spinal.its minor and quick. Take care. Hope it helped.
