Is Soxy-1LDforte Necessary After A DSN Surgery?

Hi I had a DSN surgery last week and the splints where removed after 5 days and now the doc has put me on some antihistamines Doxy-1L D forte I feeling quite good now with no fever, should I have this Doxy-1L D forte not sure why this is prescribed..

Dear sir,The tablet doxy is an antibiotic which will be given after surgery to prevent infection in the surgical wounds.kindly follow the advise of your doctor and complete the dose of the antibiotics.
