Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
The discharge in Chlamydia is usually odorless. So the bad odor discharge could not be due to Chlamydial infection and the treatment of chlamydia has every possibility to clear the infection already. Bad odor of vaginal discharge may be due to:
1. Bacterial vaginosis
2. Trichmoniasis infestation
3. Anaerobic infection secondary to some other pathology.
These diagnosis (combined infection along with Chlamydia) could be missed during the first examination and be a possible cause of bad odor discharge. Another examination along with investigation can fix the cause and treatment has to be planned according to the outcome.
