Is Showering Daily Bad For Skin?

I am currently dating a single father with an 11 year old daughter who refuses to shower everyday! He literally has to fight her to take a shower by day 3... Eeeeewwww!!!! Her mother has taught her that showering everyday is bad for your skin and hair. Is this true?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your query, regarding daily showering, my treatment advice is:

1. Daily showering is not bad for skin and hair.
2. It should not be done with hot water which can damage skin and hair shaft.
3. Also daily shampooing should be avoided. Otherwise showering has no other bad effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
