Is Regional Pain Syndrome Curable?

I have had this intense pain in my left theigh for almost 17 years and when it started I was told it was just a lump of fatty tissue. The pain was so bad that I was unable to keep a job .I was made to feel like it was all in my head . But now I have been diagnosed with complex regional pain syndrome and I am wondering if there is a cure or am I going to get worse . I am already where it is extreamly painful to walk and stand for more than a few minutes. I don t want to end up in a wheel chair.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, there can be various issues with the regional pain syndrome as fibromyalgia, myositis from autoimmune conditions or else.
* The definite management depends upon the final diagnosis, but in general, there are best options available in terms of monoclonal antibodies to modify the finest aspects of immune response against such disorders.
* So there is nothing to loss the hope and consult an expert immune specialist handling such issues regularly on an updated basis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
