Is Reddness Around A Cut On Bottom Of Foot Concerning?

My daughter got a cut on the bottom of her foot while playing in the ocean. It is red around the cut. It had some pus in it that i drained and used triple ointment. I t had a few light streaks going off of it the other day still there, not really worse

Hello,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that your daughter got a cut on the bottom of her foot while playing in the ocean. It is red around the cut. It had some pus in it that you drained and used triple ointment. It had a few light streaks going off of it the other day. I think it is infected wound, it should be cleaned and dressed in aseptic conditions. Antibiotics should be started to control infection, analgesic(diclofenac) will help in reducing pain. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful.
