Is Pregnancy Possible While On Birth Control Pills?

ok so im on birth control, gildess fe 1/20 to be exact and i take my pills everyday but i dont take them the same time everyday, but i had unprotected sex a few days ago (sunday) and im supposed to start my sugar pills tomorrow (thursday), anyways i read a few articals about the workings of the pill but i think i got some wrong information. my question is do i have a possibility of becoming pregnant since sperm can survive in the reproductive tract for up to 5 days?

Hello,
There is always a possibility of pregnancy if you are having unprotected sex. No birth control plan is 100% effective, especially if you are not taking it as directed (not at the same time each day). If you use birth control pills as directed they are 99% effective. With imperfect use the effectiveness falls down to about 92% or less
