I Have read that cyclo progynova is a hormonal therapy not a contraceptive. My question is can I get pregnant with this therapy and if I get pregnant will be risk to pregnancy or will have bad effect to the baby please answer me Im worried waiting for your answer as soon as possible Wish you all the best and thnx for your answers
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Cyclo-Progynova contains norgestrel and estradiol. It is a cyclic hormone replacement therapy (HRT) product. It is indicated to be used for oestrogen deficiency symptoms in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Cyclo-Progynova is contraindicated during pregnancy or lactation. If pregnancy occurs during medication, treatment should be withdrawn immediately. However, till date, results of most epidemiological studies show that foetal exposure to combinations of oestrogens and progestagens indicate no teratogenic or foetotoxic effect. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
