Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My boyfriend and I had sex Dec.3&4. He used a condom & pulled out. My period is a week late. I've had a lot of stress this past cycle: Lost about 6 lbs in a few days, had finals at school, and traveled back home for the Christmas Break . I took a FRER test Tuesday & Thursday. Both were negative. Should I be concerned or does stress cause these things?
As a physician, I would like to tell you that your chances of getting pregnant increases drastically if you had sex around ovulation even while using protection. Also, there are many times chances that your cycle length increases or decreases naturally. Thus, I would suggest that you should take one more UPT test after 7 days and if it still comes out to be negative, you should visit a MD Obgy doctor.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question. Have a nice day.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
