Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking An I-Pill After Intercourse?
Hello, I happened to engage in uprotected sexual intercourse with my husband. And he finished inside me. We don t want pregnancy at the moment. And hence I took one contraceptive pill named Dronis 30 just after the incident. And after 12 hours I took I-pill. Please advise what are my chances of getting pregnant based on the above incident. Thanks, Suma
Conceiving after taking the pill may only occur if ovulation had already occurred before you took it. Otherwise, pregnancy is very unlikely if at all possible. If your next period gets delayed you should do a pregnancy test. Don't get too alarmed if it does though as these pills may impair your hormonal status and affect your period anyway. The pregnancy test should make things clear (if needed).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
