Hello doctor ...my last period date is 23 October and I had intercourse with My bf 28 October . .than after 3 hours of intercourse I had taken unwanted 72 ...I Am patient Of aptimatis n I already taken high Power dose Of azoran and amnaketil 10 mg ceriod... .n its almost 13 days delay in My period and I had taken regulin forte yesterday night tomorrow morning.. N yet didn t got period.. I check with prega News its also negative
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Postinor 2 is an emergency contraceptive pill. The pill needs to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse to prevent accidental or unwanted pregnancy. Earlier it is taken, the protection seems to be better. The pill would prevent pregnancy by causing withdrawal bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of its intake. If the bleeding doesn't happen by 3 weeks, you need to take a urine pregnancy test and seek medical attention promptly. The chances of failure of such pill to prevent pregnancy is about 10 to 15%.
