General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If taken within 72 hours following an unprotected intercourse, I-pill is up to 94% effective in preventing pregnancy. It is more effective the sooner after intercourse it is taken. Delayed period and acne on the face could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, emotional upset or some issues with the ovaries. I advise you to consult a gynecologist for proper clinical assessment and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
