Is Pregnancy Possible After Taking Postinor?

Good day doctor, my wife and I had unprotected see like Wednesday last week and she took postinor (a brand of it). We has again on Friday and she took another one. But just 2 days ago, she was feeling funny and she did pregnancy test with urine at home and it showed positive. 1. Is possible she s truly pregnant? 2. Could the drugs have affected her in any way? Thank you

Postinor is an emergency contraceptive pill and it has to be used occasionally only when other methods were not used. You should not use it regularly as the dose of hormones in it is high and can cause side effects to your wife.
If postinor was taken within 72 hours of having sex on both the occasions, the chance of pregnancy is less. But as the urine pregnancy test turned out to be positive, it means that you wife is really pregnant. If you have any doubt then repeat the test on an early morning sample of urine. Postinor will not effect the urine pregnancy test in any way.
