Is Positive Result For HIV Post A D&C Procedure Conclusive?

Hello,I had a problem with my ovary and I went for a D&C procedure to clean my uterus.two weeks later I went with my boyfriend to test for HIV and I was positive while he was negative.some months before I tested and I was negative. Can it be a false positive

Hi,

Result and its validity depend on which test you apply. Elisa based tests are very specific for HIV.

So if not done, get done repeat HIV testing using the Elisa method. If the Elisa test for HIV is positive then you are HIV reactive. You can also confirm HIV status by P24 assay.
