Is Pain In The Neck Related To Poison Ivy?

I was diagnosed with poison ivy/oak/sumac, my doctor wasn t sure which it was, I received a steroid shot a week ago, I had it on the side of my face near my ear, my ear was very itchy, now it is painful, and I also have neck pain on that side now. Can it all be related?
