Is Pain In Back And Groin Due To Kidney Infection?

Hi doc i have a question i already had urine test the result is pus cells 2-3/hpf, red cells 1-2/hpf, epithelial cells many, bacteria few, and mucus threads few my doctor already give me antibiotic 2 times but still until now it didnt gone... I already ultrasound my whole abdomen it says consider cystitis, my fbs and creatinine is normal... Do i have kidney infection because i feel back pain and on my groin... Please help.

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Your reports suggests you are suffering from urinary tract infection/Cystitis.
Yes pain in back and groin is common due to cystitis/kidney infection as infections involves back and groin muscle.

You should continue the antibiotics for 10-14 days for complete clearance of infection
Drink plenty of fluids
Tablet ibuprufen 500 mg two times a day
Do regular exercise
Eat fruits like orange, papaya, cranberry juice, watermelon and grapes.
Do not delay in empty in the bladder.

Repaet the urine test after 14 days.
