Is Numbness On The Hip A Matter Of Concern?

I had an accident 6 months ago.. A titanium rod was placed/replaced my left femor. They fused lumbar vertebrae. I have a weak left leg. I walk with some difficulty on my own without a cane. An xray shows I have an old hip fracture. I ve noticed lately that my right hip is somewhat bruised, but I don t feel pain. In fact I don t have much sensitivity to the touch.(skin numbness). Should I be concerned?

Hi,

You have to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

It’s better to get an MRI scan to look for any hematoma or bleed.

As of now, you can apply ice packs for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
