Is Numbness In The Hand Indicative Of Nerve Canal With Drop Wrist?

All of a sudden my left arm when I lift it above my heart, my hand goes numb and curls, I am not able to take a drink with my left hand because of this. I woke up in middle of the night with it tingling and numb, and it still is numb. I have also had diarrhea ever since as well. I wen to the ER and they did not run tests, told me it was reputed nerve canal with drop wrist? Is that such a thing?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

You should consult a neurologist personally and get a MRI brain done just to rule out any brain infarct and weakness related to that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
