Is Motaire Lcd Safe To Give For Cold And Cough?

my son is 4.5 years old with the change of season he suffer from cold and cough doctor has suggested him to take motaire lcd once daily for two months ,request you to pleae tell whether it is advisable to give or not and if yes are there any side effects .

Montair is Montelukast which is a mast cell stabiliser which prevents allergic respiratory symptoms. It is totally safe in 4 year old child.
