Is Milky, Cloudy Urine In A Child Normal?

Hi, my son is 5 yrs old. I noticed tonight that when he peed, it appear cloudy almost milky. It looks kind of like a skim milk tone. I hardly saw any tint of yellow. It was pale. Should I be concerned or is this normal? If I didn t know better...it appears similar to pre-ejaculation except it flowed out like liquid.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Did you check your child's temperature during this period? Have you noticed any pain during urination in your child or frequently urination? Based on your description, it seems as pus in urine, but to be sure you need to do a urinary analyses and a uroculture and then start medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
