Hello doctor, my 2 and half month puppy scratched me on my finger 12 days ago and I didn t gave him ARV till date. My skin weren t torn or either I didn t got bleeding, just got red mark on my finger. Local vet told me it is not that much risky and you are safe. I search on internet and come to know the necessity of vaccination though there are such scratches. Is my puppy and me are safe now by taking injection after 12 days? I read about incubation period is minimum as 4 days in some cases and maximum many years. Please help me.
