Is Long Term Intake Of Allegra To Control Seasonal Allergies Safe?

I have been taking Allegra for years and usually keeps allergies under control. Fall is worst season for me and past few days have been particularly bad with the congestion, eyes running, etc. despite the Allegra. Some years back I had another bad Fall and was given a shot of, I believe, Kenalog, that took care of the problem. Does this sound correct? I need to do something to get this under control.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

At the time of allergic inflammation decongestant and Allegra like drugs used according to severity and need

But as you have this problem since many years try to identified possible causative allergen

For that if needed patch test like allergy testing can be done

Try to avoid contact with possible allergen after testing like dust, pollen, cold weather, certain food etc...

Recently immunotherapy also available for this

Take care

Consult allergy specialist nearby for this work up
