Is Itching In The Penis Tip A Cause For Concern?

I have a faint pinch or itch in the tip of my penis sometimes for the passed week. I was waiting for it to go away but now I m scared and don t know where to go for these type of things. I don t have a doctor and don t know if I can just go to a walk in clinic or hospital or where Togo for these type of things? I have anxiety and it s very embarrassing! It s probably from having unprotected sex or maybe from taking medication? I recently started taking propecia?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.
As told by you the itching you are experiencing is mostly due to unprotected sex. I can suggest you to apply candid ointment at that area and its better to ruleout sexually transmitted diseases by having investigations like VDRL. Early diagnosis and treatment is always better. Hope this answers your query. Get back if you have more.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
