Is It Safe To Use Primolut As A Contraceptive?

I m 23 and I had sex with my boy friend . we used protection . later when I went to the rest room in the evening I happened to see creamy substance outside my vagina walls. I was worried if something went wrong with the condom . so had primolut for safe reasons ..would it work ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Primolut-N is not recommended to work as an emergency contraceptive. If you doubt it, you should take an I-pill at the earliest, after sex, though it is known to act till 72 hours of sex. Please be under a gynecologist's care if it's your first time to take such a pill.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
