Is It Safe To Use Dovate For Skin Pigmentation And Blemishes?

hai I am a lady of 27 years old I had acne on my fight side of face when I was pregnant 2012, then they left spots. I went to the GP he prescribed dovate ointment, then I used it on the affected area only on my right side then I noticed that the sports are light but the whole area is more lighter than the whole face. I immediate stop using it, now I notice I have dark pigment on that area its no longer those dots of pimples spots, its like blemish. I tried to use calamine, yes it has made it light but its still there. please help what can I use. I was thinking of buying E45 cream am confused

Hi,

Dovate is a potent corticosteroid and should not be used for a longer duration over face. Long term use can make the skin more thin and weaken the skin.

Kindly avoid further use of the drug. Use plain moisturiser and sun screen everyday. Normal skin colour will revert back in 3 to 4 weeks. Increase diet containing vitamin A and E. Drink plenty of fluids.
