As per your complaint, Betnovate contains betamethasone that is a steroid and long-term use of steroid can cause deleterious effects on the skin. The symptoms that you are experiencing are due to withdrawal effects of steroids as long-term use of steroids can lead to skin thinning, inflammation, rashes, pimples, dilated veins under skin, etc. I would suggest you do cool compresses over the face. Do not use a steroid-based cream under any circumstances. Take antihistamines like allegra.Wash your face frequently throughout the day with cool water. Once the skin becomes stable you can start using safer depigmentation creams containing kojic acid, glycolic acid, and arbutin. You can use azelic acid preparations. Exfoliate your skin twice a week with a gentle scrub. Limit sun exposure as it can increase pigmentation. You can also go for photofacial and microdermabrasion. Hope I have answered your query.
