Is It Safe To Travel While Having Bone Cancer And Non Functional Heart Valve?
thank you.. my 88 yr old mother is coming from new jersey.. she has bone cancer, something on her lung, and a valve in her heart that doesn't work properly... looking for an oncologist...pulmonary..and cardiologist in the Chesapeake, va area. I want to take her to Tx at christmas to see her last great grandchild that was just born and need to know it is safe.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Your mother can travel despite having bone cancer, abnormal cardiac valve and some pulmonary disease. However, it is important to assess her clinical state and her routine investigations also need to be done. If all the routine investigations are within normal limits and her condition is stable, she can travel safely. Consult your primary healthcare provider for further work up.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
