Is It Safe To Travel On Flight Having A Posterior Placenta Up To OS?

aim 12.4 week pregnant last scan shows posterior placenta up to OS. i have to travel by flight after 30 days.it is safe or not???. i must travel this day. so please advice my safe travel method. travel time 4.5 hours.i had little bleeding on 9th week after that everything is normal.please advise me.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As the placenta is up to the cervical Os, there is some risk for bleeding during traveling.
So, as you are planning to travel after one month, better to go for review ultrasound just before traveling.
If ultrasound shows that placenta is migrated upwards, you can travel.
If the placenta is still low lying and approaching the Os even after one month, better to avoid journey.
As sometimes low lying placenta can lead to severe blood loss, better to be careful.
