Is It Safe To Take Prevacid To Treat Acid Reflux?

Hi, My Name Is Clarissa & I live In Orlando Fl., I have a Question About C O P D, & The Lungs, My Cousin Is 63 @ She Started out Three Years Ago With C O P D, Now Both Her Lungs Are Gone, & She Was Just Told That She Has Acid Reflux, Now The Dr. Tells her That A Lung Transplant Will Not do Her Any Good, Because The Acid Would Eat The Lung Up, & That If She had the Acid Reflux Before Her Lungs Failed, That They Could Do A Transplant, When She Eats She Throws All Her Food back Up, Why Is That? She Takes A Presc. Prevacid with higher Milg. She Weighs About 80 lbs. Please Help me , I feel So Helpless, Can Anything be Done To Help Her, I Have been Praying A Lot, Thank You .. I M Sorry I Don Have Any Money To Pay Right Now, I Will Get back To You, When I Get It. I Am Disable, I Don t Work, Sorry..

The prevacid would help with her acid reflux. Acid reflux can be associated with a number of different symptoms such as chest discomfort, vomiting, coughing, bloating, regurgitation of food.

In addition to the use of medication, she may need to implement lifestyle changes to help with the reflux.

This would include: smaller portion of meals, avoiding spicy/citrus/fatty or fried foods.
