Is It Safe To Take Olimelt Along With Ecosprin And Lipicure?

hi doctor my father is a heart patient. he trusts us low and thinks that we are against him. on consultation with a psychiatrist we started giving him olimelt 10. my question to you is that he is a heart patient and intakes the following medicines. ecosprin 75 lipicure-20 clavix 75 frusix 20 cardace 2.5 can you please tell me whether giving olimelt with these medicines is safe and should we continue giving olimelt as it has been more that 18 months. aaaa

Olimelt can cause hypertriglyceridemia (raised blood lipids) and raised blood sugar.

In my opinion, aripiprazole would be a better choice for your father. This does not increase lipids and sugar levels.

As all antipsychotics can cause QT prolongation, you must keep a regular follow-up with your cardiologist.
