Is It Safe To Take Linzess For Constipation And Stomach Gas?

Hi! I went to the Dr today and she diagnosed me with a stomach virus/early stages of an ulcer. She prescribed me flagil and an antacid. I threw up Sunday and had diaherria Tuesday (only briefly) but have been constipated since with bad gas. My GI doctor prescribed me Linzess in the past for my IBS - constipation and I take it as needed which is often. I haven t taken it this week since I ve been sick but I was wondering if it would be okay for me to take 1 tonight since I am constipated now? Please advise! Thank you, Mary

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, even if you have some gastric condition still you can have the medicine given for IBS because this is more or less functional condition and this may not be related with the present condition that you have, over all this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care.
