Is It Safe To Take Harvoni Instead Of Ribavirin In A Hepatitis C Patient?
Ok...why would a Hep c patient...genotype 1a.....with compensated cirrhosis.....treatment experienced and failed with interferon/Ribavirin twice take Viekira Pak/Ribavirin for 24 weeks instead of Harvoni for 24 weeks OR Harvoni/Ribavirin for 12 weeks? Seems the Harvoni would be the more logical choice.

Harvoni is a combination of Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir and is used to treat chronic hepatitis C. It can be used alone or may sometimes be used with Ribavirin. This combination can be used and is found to be effective when used for a 12 week period.
