Is It Safe To Take Doxycycline For Bronchitis ?

Hi. I began with a laryngitis/trachitis irritation that made me cough, had a strep test and culture which was negative. I started feeling better by day 10-14, then began with mild nasal issues, mild dental pain on left upper teeth, mild throbbing in left ear, and bronchitis for the last 9 days, saw a Dr. today. She stated left ear has fluid and red, left sinus cavity is red and swollen. The main reason I went to see her was due to the chronic cough I have when I try to sleep that I still feel is caused by this throat irritation. She placed me on Doxycycline. Since the ear and sinus do not hurt much should I go ahead with Doxy?
